Your heart’s rhythm is controlled by a complex electrical system. When that system does not work properly, it can cause an arrhythmia, or abnormal heartbeat, that may feel like fluttering, racing, skipping or slowing of the heart. Some heart rhythm problems are harmless, while others can increase the risk of stroke, heart failure or fainting. At Oracle Heart & Vascular, our experienced cardiology team provides comprehensive evaluation and advanced treatment for heart rhythm disorders, using the latest diagnostic tools and minimally invasive procedures to restore healthy rhythm and improve quality of life.
Heart Rhythm Disorders We Treat
Atrial fibrillation is the most common heart rhythm disorder and occurs when the upper chambers of the heart beat irregularly and out of sync with the lower chambers. AFib can cause palpitations, fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness and increases the risk of stroke. Your personalized treatment plan focuses on controlling heart rhythm, preventing blood clots and reducing symptoms.

Procedures & Treatments We Offer
Our goal is for timely diagnosis of your heart rhythm disorder so that you can live your daily life with ease, peace of mind and symptom free. Treatment depends on the type and severity of the rhythm abnormality. Learn more about our expert electrophysiology services by reading below.
Electrophysiology (EP) Studies
An EP study is a specialized catheter-based test that maps the heart’s electrical system to identify the source of abnormal rhythms. It helps determine the most effective treatment strategy for patients with heart rhythm disorders and is often performed before or during ablation procedures.
Pacemaker & Defibrillator Implants
Pacemakers help regulate slow heart rhythms, while implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) can correct dangerous fast rhythms by delivering life-saving therapy when needed. These devices are implanted during minimally invasive procedures and provide continuous rhythm support.
Catheter Ablation
Catheter ablation uses thin, flexible tubes guided through blood vessels to the heart to treat abnormal electrical pathways. Your cardiologist applies energy to small, targeted areas to stop abnormal signals and restore normal rhythm. For many patients, ablation can significantly reduce symptoms and may eliminate the need for long-term medications.
Cardioversion
Cardioversion uses a brief, controlled electrical shock to reset the heart to a normal rhythm. It is performed under light sedation and is commonly used to treat atrial fibrillation as well as Supraventricular tachycardia, in some cases.
WATCHMAN™ Device Implantation
The WATCHMAN™ device can reduce the stroke risk for patients with AFib who cannot tolerate long-term blood thinners. It works by closing off the heart’s left atrial appendage, where most AFib-related clots form. This minimally invasive procedure offers an alternative to lifelong anticoagulation therapy.
Implantable Loop Recorders (ILR)
An ILR is a small device placed under the skin that continuously monitors heart rhythm and can do so for months or years. It helps diagnose infrequent or unexplained symptoms such as fainting, palpitations or suspected silent AFib. Data is transmitted remotely to your care team for ongoing monitoring.
Comprehensive Diagnosis & Ongoing Monitoring
Care for heart rhythm disorders includes advanced testing and monitoring, allowing our specialists to accurately diagnose disorders. This also allows our team to tailor treatment to each patient’s unique needs. Some examples of diagnostic testing and monitoring for heart rhythm disorders include:

Our Heart Rhythm Experts
Our electrophysiology team specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex arrhythmias. Dr. Reddy, Cardiac Electrophysiologist, and Katherine Perez, AGACNP-BC, provide comprehensive, personalized care for patients with heart rhythm disorders. Together, they offer a collaborative, compassionate approach focused on restoring healthy heart rhythms, improving quality of life and helping patients with heart rhythm disorders feel confident and supported every step of the way.

Dr. Ramakota Reddy
Dr. Reddy is a cardiac electrophysiologist who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of complex arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia and ventricular arrhythmias. He performs advanced electrophysiology procedures such as catheter ablation, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and left atrial appendage closure. Dr. Reddy uses state-of-the-art mapping and imaging technology to deliver precise, minimally invasive treatments focused on long-term rhythm control and improved quality of life.

Katherine Perez, AGACNP-BC
Katherine Perez is an experienced nurse practitioner specializing in care for heart rhythm disorders and electrophysiology follow-up. She works closely with patients to manage symptoms, monitor heart rhythms, adjust medications and provide education and long-term support. Katherine plays a key role in coordinating care before and after procedures to ensure patients feel informed, supported and confident throughout their treatment journey.
