At Oracle Heart & Vascular, we deliver comprehensive, patient-centered vascular care using the most advanced diagnostic tools and minimally invasive treatments available. Our specialists treat diseases affecting the arteries and circulation throughout the body, helping restore blood flow, reduce pain, prevent stroke and aneurysm rupture. Through comprehensive treatment and minimally invasive procedures, we look forward to helping improve our vascular care patients’ quality of life.

Vascular Conditions We Treat

From early detection and lifestyle-based prevention to outpatient interventional procedures, our team provides expert vascular care in Fredericksburg and King George, VA. Our vascular specialists diagnose and treat a full spectrum of arterial and circulatory conditions, including:

Peripheral Artery
Disease (PAD)

PAD occurs when plaque narrows the arteries in the legs and feet, reducing blood flow. Symptoms may include leg pain with walking, numbness, cold extremities or non-healing wounds. Untreated PAD can lead to serious complications, including limb-threatening ischemia. Our vascular specialists offer various treatment options for PAD including lifestyle and medical therapy, angioplasty, stenting and atherectomy and advanced peripheral endovascular interventions.

Abdominal Aortic
Aneurysm (AAA)

An AAA is a highly dangerous bulging of the abdominal portion of the aorta that can rupture without warning. Many patients have no symptoms, making screening vital for those at risk. Care for AAA at Oracle Heart & Vascular includes ultrasound and CT-based diagnosis, ongoing monitoring for small aneurysms and, when necessary, minimally invasive aneurysm repair.

Carotid Artery
Disease (CAD)

Carotid artery disease occurs when plaque narrows the arteries supplying blood to the brain, greatly increasing the risk of stroke. Our specialists provide carotid ultrasound screening, advanced imaging with CT/MR angiography and medical therapy, carotid stenting and surgical coordination when needed.

Benefits of outpatient vascular care at the Oracle Procedural Suite include:

  • Faster recovery
  • Lower out-of-pocket costs
  • No hospital stay

Advanced Vascular Procedures In Fredericksburg

At Oracle Heart & Vascular, we are dedicated to our patients’ comfort and safety above all else. Many of our vascular treatments are outpatient treatments performed in the Oracle Procedural Suite, allowing patients to return home the same day. These vascular care procedures may include angioplasty and stenting, atherectomy and Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE).

This catheter-based procedure opens narrowed or blocked arteries using a balloon and small metal support (stent) to restore healthy blood flow. It treats PAD, carotid artery disease and peripheral and abdominal arterial disease.

This minimally invasive technique removes plaque from inside the artery rather than compressing it and is often combined with angioplasty and stenting for best results. Benefits may include improved vessel opening, better long-term blood flow and reduced risk of re-narrowing in select patients.

Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE) For Knee Osteoarthritis

GAE is a minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment for chronic knee pain caused by osteoarthritis. It reduces inflammation by targeting the abnormal blood flow driving joint pain. GAE is ideal for patients who are not candidates for knee replacement, want to delay surgery or have persistent pain despite therapy or injections.

This treatment offers:

  • a reduction of pain by greater than 50% at 3 years

  • minimally invasive, non-surgical approach

  • takes less than an hour to complete

  • very low risk of complications (near zero outcome)

  • significantly extends time until a knee replacement is required
