At Oracle Heart & Vascular, we provide evaluation and treatment for venous conditions affecting the legs. Our experienced vascular specialists focus on identifying the underlying cause of venous disease. By not just treating visible symptoms, we help our patients find relief and achieve mobility and comfort.

Vein Conditions We Treat

Our experts treat a comprehensive range of venous conditions and veins, from more mild veins and symptoms to persistent ones. At the Oracle Heart & Vascular Vein Clinic, we take an individual approach to your treatment plan, taking into account your symptoms, medical history and the overall health of your veins to create a personalized and effective treatment plan and only recommended surgical intervention when necessary. Venous conditions we treat include:

Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI)

Chronic Venous Insufficiency occurs when the veins in the legs cannot effectively return blood back to the heart. When vein valves weaken or fail, blood pools in the legs, leading to increased pressure and progressive symptoms. It can cause leg or ankle swelling, heaviness, aching, fatigue and more. Without treatment, CVI can worsen over time and increase your risk of venous ulcers. Early evaluation helps prevent complications and disease progression.

Venous Ulcers

Venous ulcers are a serious complication of chronic venous disease and most commonly develop near the ankles or lower legs. They occur when prolonged venous pressure damages the skin and surrounding tissue, making wounds slow to heal. Venous ulcers are often painful and difficult to heal. Effective treatment requires addressing both the wound itself and the underlying venous insufficiency.

Varicose Veins

Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins that develop when vein walls weaken or valves fail, allowing blood to pool in the legs. They most commonly appear in the calves or thighs and may cause leg swelling, heaviness, aching, throbbing or fatigue—especially after extended periods on your feet. Without treatment, symptoms can worsen over time and increase the risk of skin changes and venous ulcers. Early evaluation helps prevent progression while relieving discomfort.

Spider Veins

Spider veins are smaller, superficial veins that appear close to the skin’s surface and often resemble fine red, blue or purple web-like patterns. While typically less symptomatic than varicose veins, they may be associated with aching, burning, itching or leg fatigue. They can also be an early sign of venous insufficiency. Treatment can improve both the appearance of the veins as well as your comfort, while addressing underlying venous issues to reduce recurrence.

Vein Evaluation & Diagnosis

Every patient who visits us for vein concerns receives a thorough evaluation to determine the cause and severity of venous disease. This comprehensive approach allows our specialists to tailor treatment to each patient’s unique condition. Diagnostic testing may include:

  • Detailed clinical assessment
  • Venous duplex ultrasound to evaluate blood flow and valve function
  • Additional imaging when needed

Conservative Treatment Options For Venous Disease

Our providers develop treatment plans for venous disease based on symptoms, vein anatomy, your overall health and other considerations. Conservation options may include:

  • Medical management
  • Leg elevation
  • Exercise and movement therapy
  • Lifestyle modifications
  • Compression therapy, when appropriate

Treatment For Advanced Venous Disease

Our goal is to restore healthy blood flow and support healing while minimizing discomfort and downtime. For patients with persistent symptoms, skin changes or ulcers, advanced venous interventions may be recommended to improve circulation and reduce venous pressure.
