He completed an internal medicine residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center through Case Western Reserve University. He then completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship and a clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
His electrophysiology fellowship provided advanced training in the evaluation and treatment of arrhythmias. This specialized education helped prepare him to care for patients with complex heart rhythm conditions and incorporate advanced approaches into their treatment.
Dr. Kim also brings experience as an academic hospitalist and assistant professor of medicine at Case Western Reserve University before beginning his cardiology training.
His educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and a PhD in Biomedical Informatics from Rutgers University. He also earned a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology and Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley.
