Dr. Ahanchi’s impressive educational background sets the stage for her career in vascular surgery. After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Dr. Ahanchi earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Illinois College of Medicine. She further refined her surgical skills with a general surgery internship and residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital Medical Center in Chicago. Her pursuit of excellence continued as she completed a vascular surgery fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School, equipping her with specialized expertise in the field.

Throughout her career, Dr. Ahanchi has received numerous honors and awards, including the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery Founders Award and the American Medical Association Seed Grant. She has also contributed to the medical field through research, with more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific articles to her name.
