Emily is a licensed Registered Nurse as well as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. During the four years she served as a Registered Nurse, Emily pursued her master’s in nursing and has since worked as a Nurse Practitioner for Virginia Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. Over the last five years as a nurse practitioner, she gained exceptional clinical experience in the outpatient and inpatient settings where she cared for patients pre- and post-surgery. Emily’s passion to be vested in the care and treatment of those she serves in the community goes deeper than making clinical recommendations. She enjoys the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients, their families, and others involved in their care. She believes that health, wellness, and illness should be viewed through the lense of the patient. She has proven to provide such empathy to patients with sincere efforts toward a strong provider-patient relationship built on trust and evidence-based care.

Emily was born and raised in Fredericksburg and has remained in the area. Together with her husband and their two children, they enjoy attending professional sports games and spending time with family and friends.
